Once the temperature has been reached, stop the oven, allow it to cool to 950°C before removing the pieces using tongs. Then coat your artwork with the liquid enamel and re-fire

This range of Ceradel Raku Liquid Enamels can be fired in a normal electric oven in an oxidising atmosphere, the finish will then be shiny with some cracking, but to achieve metallic finishes they need to be cooled in the traditional atmosphere of the reduction oven.

Ceradel Raku Liquid Enamel is sold as a liquid in 500ml jars. It is ready to use.

Be careful to protect yourself with clothing, gloves, suitable for high temperatures and possibly wear a mask to avoid inhalation of smoke when opening the oven.
