Clairefontaine Oil Special Paper Blocks contain 15 sheets of 240gsm paper ideally suited to oil painting. The paper has a medium fine linen texture.
The paper is treated directly in the pulp in order to achieve complete impermeability to oil and turpentine. This process makes paints adhere well to the paper giving excellent textured or layered effects when working fat over lean. The paper in the Clairefontaine Oil Special Paper Blocks is acid free (pH Neutral) and readily withstands alterations.
