Welte Engobes

Welte Engobes are delivered ready to use in liquid form, in transparent 500ml plastic containers with screw caps. They can be used smooth or in relief and give interesting rustic effects to your ceramics.

Welte Engobes can be applied by brush, stamp or with an engobe bulb. The colours are intermixable and can be layered after each colour has dried. On completion of your work normal biscuit fire at 960° C, then glaze with a colourless transparent glaze and fire at 1040° C. Use white engobe to llighten all colours.
